Fabtech Pro Lite Challenge returns to Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series

Friday, February 24, 2017

Corona, California (February 24, 2017) – Dave Winner said he tried it once and liked it so he's going to do it again. That means the Fabtech Pro Lite Challenge, a lucrative contingency program introduced in 2016 to spur increased interest in the class, will return to the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series presented by KarTek in 2017.

Fabtech Motorsports will be joined by Ultra Wheels, Impact and RevChem as associate sponsors in a contingency program offering over $40,000 in cash and merchandise awards to all drivers who qualify for the program by displaying each company's decals on their vehicles.

"Last year was our first year sponsoring the Pro Lite class and I thought it went pretty well," said Winner, who is Fabtech's Chief Executive Officer. "We had a pretty good driver turnout at all the races and I'm sure that will increase this year. We like supporting grassroots racing. We like helping the up-and-coming racers that can go on into the national series, so we went ahead and did it again this year."

Regional Series Director Lee Perfect was delighted to have the iconic suspension design and manufacturing company back in the series.

"We had a great turnout and great participation in our Fabtech Pro Lite Challenge last year," he said. "We're looking forward to another great year. With some talented new rookies joining the returning veterans there should be some great Pro Lite racing. We're extremely grateful for Fabtech's contribution."

Winner, who has been involved in off-road racing of all kinds for many years, said that along with the opportunity to give young drivers an assist he enjoys the atmosphere at events in the series.

"Lee and Poppy (Perfect, the series Administrative Director) are doing a great job and the officials and drivers and everyone there are great people," said Winner, whose Chino-based company fields its own two-truck team for drivers Cory Winner and Cory McClenathan. "The races are terrific family events and we've had a great time being involved. That's why we support it.

"Our business is to build the best products possible for off-road enthusiasts and everyone involved in the regional series has a passion for off-road and a need for our kind of quality products. Fabtech is happy being involved in short-course racing again and building a great relationship with the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series."
